USE OF MINORS OR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES FOR BEGGING

Article 232 of the Penal Code punishes persons who use or lend minors or persons with disabilities for the practice of begging, even if this is concealed, with a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year, a sentence that increases from 1 to 4 years if for this purpose:

1. Trafficking in minors or persons with disabilities.
2. Violence or intimidation is used with them.
3. They are supplied with substances harmful to their health.
